Anji Marychurch, MA, B.Ed

Anji’s passion for developing talent and potential within an individual has led her to specialise in career development for professionals, senior executives and entrepreneurs.

Anji has been coaching both corporate and private clients on career transition issues, including outplacement due to mergers, acquisitions and downsizing activity since 1995.

She also coaches groups and individuals who wish to consider alternative careers such as self employment and new business start up, interim or contract working, franchising and portfolio working.

For examples of her passion for developing talent, Anji is an advisor for a Government Enterprise Agency focused on new business start up and a volunteer business mentor for the Princes’ Trust, a UK charity focused on helping disadvantaged young people go into business for themselves.

Anji was a faculty member for 5 years in a London Business School where she delivered a wide range of programmes at post graduate level, specialising in Human Resource Development for practising managers. She also developed, designed and delivered career development & ‘professional updating’ short courses for the unemployed or those on career breaks.

Earlier in her career, Anji ran her first profitable business venture, a management development & training consultancy for 5 years, designing and delivering projects in the leisure & tourism industry.This is where Anji began her international career which inspired an interest in working cross culturally. Anji has also consulted for blue chip companies within the retail and financial services sectors in the UK and Europe on personal development and leadership.

Anji’s own career has spanned 26 years and has metamorphosed several times to encompass the themes of life long learning and personal growth, enterprise, innovation and adaptation. As a working parent with 2 children she understands the often difficult choices working and being a parent presents. Her clients enjoy access to this experience and gain lots of encouragement and support to help them realise their talents, plan for success and implement practical strategies to achieve their career ambitions.

Anji has been trained by both the Coaches Training Institute and is a graduate of Corporate Coach U. She is a full member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Training (CIPD). She is active at Forum committee level and local branch level and speaks to professional groups on a regular basis about career coaching.
