Vibecke
Winther, executive, business and personal coach, lives in Oslo, Norway. Her
background in coach education is virtually unparalleled. She was the first
Norwegian graduate of Corporate Coach University, mastered advanced courses
with CTI (Coaches Training Institute), is a Co-Active Professional CTI-coach,
and is the first and only facilitator in Scandinavia of "The
Coaching Clinic."

For more than 30 years she has worked internationally and is a recognized expert in cross-cultural diversity. She is highly regarded for her creative thinking and collaborative style, seeing options from other perspectives - - gentle and polite but always reaching.
Vibecke has degrees from Norwegian Business University and the Norwegian University of Journalism. She speaks English, Norwegian, German, and fully understands and reads Danish and Swedish. Vibecke has clients all over the world. Current they include a doctor from Sri Lanka, an engineer from Bejing, a tourist office manager in Germany, and an entrepreneur in St. Petersburg, Russia.
For many years she owned and operated her own company with 130 employees. For seven years she provided tour management in 32 languages to international tour operators traveling in Scandinavia.
In the beginning of establishing
her company, Vibecke Winther worked for three years as a highly successful
consultant to a government client. She
trained/motivated/developed people who wanted to improve their lives. As a
direct result of her expertise and personal style, 72% of her trainees found
jobs at which they were still employed after six months -- a total of 272
people, a record achievement in Norway.
She was the only woman working on the "Phone for Men in Crisis" project for more than three years, and wrote her journalism thesis on the process and outcome of that venture.
In 1984-86 Vibecke built up an employment agency, the first in Norway to compete with ManPower. Her unique approach became a blueprint for starting her own company.
She taught strongly conservative Muslim girls, got them all into high school, and revolutionized the Pakistanian environment in Oslo while keeping mutually respectful relationships.
In the period from 1978-81 Vibecke worked as a consultant in the Ministry of Foreigh Affairs in Osle and was stationed for a year in Washington, D.C. In Oslo she arranged programs for former East-block countries who came to Norway for research, under the common cultural agreements that existed between the countries. She designed 32 programs that served Soviets, Yugoslavians, Chinese, Hungarians, and Romanians. These were years of the Cold War -- again, her sensitive and diplomatic personality helped to create cross-cultural connections.
From 1972-75 Vibecke was the information secretary for the press attache in the American embassy in Oslo. She provided programs for Norwegian and American journalists in both countries, helping them get the best press coverage possible.
Vibecke Winther has led a very rich life whose extraordinary strengths have given her unique experiences. One of her most important talents is the ability to see new markets and opportunities that others overlook. Most of all, she has a remarkable ability to see each person as a great positive resource to be treated with respect.
